Designed by the renowned St Barth's architect, Olivier Dain, the property is special in every way. All paths within this little tropical enclave lead to the social hub of this island getaway, the main living area. The highlight here is the inviting pool and sundeck, with awesome views of course, and several different hang-out areas depending on where the mood takes you. While there are other villas dotted across the hillside here too, this house retains its sense of privacy, helped by the beautiful tropical gardens that surround it and the cleverly thought-out orientation of the building.
Internal spaces are set across four bungalows. There’s the main bungalow adjoining the pool deck where you’ll find the open kitchen and dining area. You can close the walls of glass when the weather dictates it, but mostly these will be open to enjoy the ocean breeze and provide a seamless flow from inside to out. Rustic yet stylish furnishings complement the space. There’s a hand-crafted feel to the stools surrounding the large kitchen island while the dining chairs and table have a real live wood feel to them. Natural elements abound in this villa, in fact, with its heavy use of wood, while concrete floors and worktops provide a more modern take and echo the grays of the carpets and sofas in the living room.
12 people can comfortably sleep in the house, without feeling cramped in any way. The 6 bedrooms are set across the three bungalows – Bungalow One is where you’ll find the Master Bedroom featuring its own private terrace with ocean views and a spa-like ensuite bathroom with outside rain shower. Bungalow Two houses bedrooms 2 and 3, while the remaining three bedrooms are in Bungalow Three where they share a terrace. All bedrooms have their own ensuites, so all guests retain that sense of privacy at all times.
