Standing proud on the hillside above Petit Saline, Villa Ginger is one of the latest new luxury vacation homes to hit the appealing little island of St Barths. While great views are not uncommon on this hilly island, Villa Ginger takes them to the next level with its exceptional vistas covering a full panorama of more than 180 degrees, taking in bays and islands, beaches, and towns. The elevated setting gives a true sense of privacy too, yet the restaurants and shops of those towns down below are easily accessible when your heart desires.

Undoubtedly, it’s the show-stopping views that take centerstage in this vacation home, but once you tear yourself away from the stunning vistas in front of you (assuming you’re able to!), Villa Ginger still has plenty to offer. The hillside location allows for several different levels of living and bedroom space, focused around the central living level with its 60-foot heated infinity pool that seemingly cascades like a waterfall, off the hillside. The views from this level are extra special and uninterrupted, thanks to the glass railings that become almost invisible in certain lights.

Taking it inside, Villa Ginger excites guests with its modern styling and furnishings. From the bed linens to the polished concrete floors, everything about this villa is cool, crisp and clean. White is the overriding color, but with the wood accents in the kitchen, and the hint of retro in the furniture, this villa provides a homey and comfortable retreat that is far from being stark and cold. The main living, dining and kitchen areas all flow together as one, where the spectacular views are framed perfectly, and are arguably best enjoyed from the dining table, but venture just outside to the gazebo and you may disagree.

Three of the villa’s five bedrooms can be found on this main level, each offering a spacious dressing area and ensuite where you can choose to shower indoors, or open up to the outdoors and private garden. While the two remaining bedrooms on the lower level may be a little smaller, their wonderful views and access to an outdoor Jacuzzi more than make up for the smaller square footage, and if guests don’t want to venture upstairs for a bite to eat or a cool drink, the second kitchen on this level is sure to come in handy, as is the well equipped fitness room with its aerobic equipment and free weights.
