Villa Palm Springs is stylish architecture, design, views, a fantastic location, and privacy, all wrapped up in one dreamy and luxurious package. Situated in one of St Barths most prized locations, Villa Palm Springs is close to the gorgeous Gouverneur Beach with its quiet atmosphere, yet a short drive brings guests to a wonderful selection of restaurants and shops in the island’s capital, Gustavia. Renowned for its views, it’s at sunset that this vacation home really excels, bathed in golden light. Just like the socialites who appear in the Slim Aarons photographs that grace the walls, guests of Villa Palm Springs are sure to feel like celebrities when staying here too.

At first glance, Villa Palm Springs follows the trails of typical St Barth’s architecture with its white walls and reddish roofs, yet closer inspection will reveal some independent, and clever differences. The linear design provides a larger building – home to the main living area and Master Bedroom – at one end with an invitingly secluded courtyard, lined at the rear with lush vegetation to help give that sense of privacy. This courtyard is home to the infinity pool and deck providing distance from the smaller building at the other end, where the second Master Bedroom is very privately located. From here, it’s almost impossible to tell that the villa also features a lower level, but more on that in a moment.

Inside is where the architecture differs from the traditional, with the box-like design framing the magical views for the living area, dining and kitchen. The floor to ceiling glass doors disappear entirely out of sight, maximizing those views from all quarters. Stylish soft furnishings provide ample seating for everyone, as does the large dining table, and the orangey-red cushions scattered throughout these living areas were surely chosen to mimic the reds and oranges of the setting sun.

The two Master Bedrooms on this main level of Villa Palm Springs both offer spacious retreats, with rich dark woods giving natural contrast to the polished concrete of the bathrooms. The second Master, across the courtyard, offers a particularly amazing view, and an outdoor shower. Down a level, you’ll find a further three bedrooms. Two have ensuite bathrooms, but probably the most memorable feature in one of these bedrooms is the movie-inspired window into the swimming pool. The fifth bedroom does not have an ensuite bathroom but there is a guest toilet close by, so this island getaway can comfortably sleep ten people. A final bonus to this level is the gym with its selection of equipment, and a private space outdoors that is perfect for yoga.
