The Romans and Ottomans certainly knew how to design and build the most opulent of palaces, and it’s easy to see those design inspirations throughout the luxuriously appointed Villa Byzance. Located in peaceful Colombier, this vacation home has amazing ocean views, and treats guests to a daily show of wonderful colors during sunrise and sunset. The beach and shopping are both just a few minutes away, while the rest of St Barths is within easy reach.

Beautifully landscaped gardens and Roman-inspired columns and arches greet you as you enter Villa Byzance, and the breezeway between suites draws you to the back of the property with its spectacular views. Here, you’ll find the villa’s swimming pool and long pool deck that runs the entirety of the length of the villa, giving access to the outside from every room. Multiple smaller outdoor spaces provide many areas to sit and relax in seclusion, or socialize with your fellow guests. Perched up on the rocks, this rental villa is gloriously private with nobody above, or immediately beside you.

Inside, the design becomes a little more Caribbean with the high, vaulted wood ceilings that are so typical to the island, yet the layout of this villa is far from being typical. A central kitchen and dining area creates a place for gathering, while each of the two bedrooms has its own intimate living area for romantic evenings as a couple. There is a larger living area set down a few steps from the first bedroom, which is perfect for socializing during the day or evening.

With a bedroom suite at either end of the villa, there’s lots of privacy for all four guests. These very large suites both have amazing views and lovely bathrooms, plus the master suite also boasts a sauna if you crave a touch of Scandinavia during your Caribbean vacation. As with the rest of the villa, the bedrooms and bright and white with touches of blues and grays echoing the ocean, the sky, and the weathered wood of the terrace.
